The innovative online event in contemporary broadcast, with simultaneous translation between Greeks and Russians was held in the University of West Attica’s conference room with exceptional success. Its subject was: “International technology transfer: semantic transformation of space” with regard to the digital advances, the social development and the international scientific cooperation.
The organizers of the event were the Ministry of Sciences and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian Cultural and Science Center in Athens and the South-West State University of Kursk with the support of the University of West Attica.
The event was hailed by professor Panagiotis Kaldis, rector of the University of West Attica, Alexei Rentkin, advisor-leader of the Science and Technology Team at the Russian Federation in Hellenic Republic, Alexander Khomenko, director of the Russian Culture and Science Center in Athens, Viktor Andrianov, deputy chief at the Ministry of Sciences and Higher Education of the Russia Federation and Ivan Socratovic Stilidi, oncologist, director of the National Medical Research Center.
The coordinators of this event were professor Panagiotis Giannakopoulos, director of the postgraduate studies program “Cybersecurity” in the computer engineering department at the University of West Attica, from Greece and Zouravliov Vladimir, director of the Innovation and Technology Center at the South- West University, from the Russian Federation.
Honorary guest speaker of the event was the (Pontic) Greek Fyodor Yurchikhin, pilot-cosmonaut of the Russian Federation, award-winning Russian hero and honored with the Order of Phoenix Commander Greek medal.
Significant suggestions were presented from both the Russian and the Greek side, on subjects such as space, communication networks, medicine, robotics, public security, improving the quality of life through the human and machine cooperation, smart transportation, digital culture, artificial intelligence, pollutant emission, agricultural production and technology transfer, which constitute possible base for the creation of common scientific projects.
From the Greek side, academics from the University of West Attica, as well as the National Technical University of Athens participated.
The event was completed by the signing of a cooperation protocol between the University of West Attica and the South-West State University of the Russian Federation.
