Nineteen partners from 11 European countries that participate in the European project entitled “ClimAte neutRal INitiatives for GrowiNg health and care Unmet Requirements – CARING NATURE”, met in Lahti, Finland with the aim to examine the implementation path of the project deliverables, to perform experience exchange, participate in breakout sessions/workshops and meet with healthcare providers in order to highlight and put into action the implementation and validation of the 10 most innovative and sustainable solutions that are considered.
The sector of Social Administration of the Department of Business Administration of the School of Administrative, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of West Attica participates in the forementioned project which is financed within the framework of the program “Horizon Europe “Environmentally Sustainable and Climate Neutral Health and Care Systems”.
The CARING NATURE project has the ambition to develop innovative solutions to reduce the environmental impact of the healthcare sector, without interfering with patient safety, through specific sustainable solutions it will develop to reduce carbon emissions and reduce pollution, which will be pilot tested and validated in five health and care providers in Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy and Spain.
The team of the University of West Attica participating in the CARING NATURE European project is made up of distinguished academics, scientists, researchers and professionals with many years of experience in the field, under the supervision of the Scientific Coordinator, Dr. Sepeti Anastasiou, Assistant Professor of the Department of Business Administration and Member of the Social Management Laboratory of the University of West Attica.
